On Sunday, May 12, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won by 47 runs beating the Delhi Capitals (DC) in match number 62 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

RCB climbed up to fifth position in the points table with 12 points and a Net run rate (NRR) of +0.387 after beating DC by 47 runs. Rajat Patidar was the star performer of the match by scoring 52 of 32 balls with a strike rate (S/R) of 150+ and Virat Kholi being the power hitter scoring 27 of 13 balls with an S/R of 200+ putting 187/9 in 20 over in the scoreboard and set a target of 188 runs in 20 over with a required run rate of 9.35/over for DC.

The balling unit of RCB performed beyond cricket analysts’ expectations and restricted DC at 140/10 in 19.1 overs, Yash Dayal (Y.Dayal) and Cameroon Green (C.Green) didn’t allowed the DC batters to take chances which lead them to pick wrong shots, miscommunication while running between the wickets gave advantage to RCB bowlers with Y.Dayal (3/20/3.1) and C.Green (1/19/4). For DC Axar Patel’s batting brought some hope of light to chase down the target, but eventually no one was there to support him on the other side of the crease.

Brett Lee says, “ It’s his 5th 50 this season, you know, we know he’s played test cricket, but it took him a while to get going. But the great thing is that that cover drive he played when we were on air commenting about I mean, that is as good as it gets. So good to see that he’s found some form. Hopefully, it can continue.”
