On Wednesday the congress demanded President rule in Haryana because the present political scenario of the state was not good . After the resignation of Manohar Lal Khattar (Former CM of Haryana), The BJP led government in Haryana was in the hands of present CM Nayab Singh Saini .
Three independent MLAs Sombir Sangwan, Randhir Gollen and Dharampal Gonder who supported BJP withdrew their support from BJP Government and showed willingness to support Congress. The three MLAs stated that the lack of employment and lack of vision in the education sector in the state led them to part ways with the BJP.
The total number of Haryana house is 90, and BJP currently has a strength 40. It also has the support of 3 Independent MLAs and one lone MLA of Haryana Lokhit Party. The withdrawal of support by three Independent MLAs reduces the number of BJP and its alliances (NDA) to 44. The majority mark is 46 NDA Still needs 2 MLAs to reach at this mark. There are rumours that four MLAs from Jannayak Janata party (JJP) are in touch with BJP and they can support the present BJP government taking the seats to 48.
Denying all the rumors JJP leader Dushyant Chautala today said in a recent interview that he is ready to support opposition leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda if he initiates a move to topple the BJP government.
Udaybhan (chief of Haryana Congress) said – they will approach the governor to implement Presidential rule in the state because the governing party is not in the majority and a minority party has no right to stay in power.
