“ALL EYES ON RAFAH”- this AI generated slogan floods social media with around 45 million accounts sharing this very post. It has become a call for action from humanitarian activists.
Israeli forces had carried out strikes in Gaza’s Rafah City, killing at least 45 Palestinians including children and people who had shifted to tents for shelter after getting their houses destroyed and at least 249 people are injured as per Gaza Health Ministry. Israel admits that the attack was not a targeted one but it was caused by a secondary fire of rocket hitting weapons of Hamas militants.
The Tal as-Sultan is tagged as “safe zone” in the city of Rafah was hot by 8 Israeli missiles, on Tuesday, May 28 reported Al Jazeera. The air strike caused over 1000 of people of Gaza strip getting scattered and displaced.
The Israeli forces had targeted two high rank Hamas militants. The missile attack led several tents on fire and caused explosion of a fuel tankthat had left people in chaos.
With emerging posts of dead bodies and disastrous effects of war, on social media leads to a campaign which goes by “All Eyes on Rafah”- aims to make people grab eyes on the devastation taking place at Gaza time and again by the Israeli forces. The people of Gaza has become forced refugees with no aid. The campaign outspreads in a huge intensity across social media platforms which urges people to look at the condition of Rafah city. Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu calls the casualities “tragic incident”. The image spread in no time when the Palestinian journalists posted the slogan after havoc missile firing by Israeli forces.
After the slogan went viral online, Benjamin Netanyahu led government posts on “X” ‘where were your eyes on October 7”.

According to Marc Owen Jones, who studies misinformation, the image looks like it is AI generated picture. The image is shared over 34 million times in 24 hours.
Several Indian celebrities : Priyanka Chopra, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Alia Bhatt, Richa Chadha, Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Tripti Dimri and many others share the same posts to show support Gaza.
In response to the slogan of “All Eyes on Rafah” by Palestine people, Israel reverts back saying why Palestine did not post the very same slogan on social media when Israel was hit on October 7 by Hamas militants from their city, uprooting homes of common citizens in Israel. The attack on October 7 resulted around 1200 deaths in Israel. The militants had seized 250 hostages. And Israel still calculates 99 hostages that still with the Hamas militants
