The Police said that the death toll in the fire tragedy at a gaming zone in Rajkot has reached 27. On May 25, evening, a massive fire broke out at a gaming zone in Gujarat’s Rajkot leading to loss of lives including children.
Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi said that he is heading towards Rajkot and SIT will begin its investigation tonight itself over the tragedy that took 27 lives.
The owner and the manager of the TRP game zone have been taken to the police station for interrogation over the fire incident. As per the officials, the fire broke out around 4.30 pm.
Raju Bhargava, Rajkot Police Commissioner said on the matter, “The Police action is underway. The owner and the manager of the TRP game zone have been taken to the police station for interrogation.”
Gujarat Director General of Police has commanded the Commissioners of Police and District Superintendents of Police to inspect all the Game Zones in the State and close down those running without fire safety permissions.
The Director General of Police has ordered to carry out this procedure in coordination with the fire officials of the municipalities and the local system.
