Police are looking for 3 accused including one woman in a suspected case of gang rape of a minor aged 15-year-old in Bareilly UP. The incident took place in the Faridpur police station area of Bareilly where a minor went missing from her house on Thursday evening (9th May 2024) and she was found with her head and legs tied with the tractor.
The minor’s family registered a complaint at the police station that a woman from their village established contact between the man and the minor. “The man was also a resident of the same area called the minor to a secluded spot where he and another man gang-raped the minor,” said officer Gaurav Singh. After raping her they tied the hands and legs of the minor and fled from the spot.
“Based on the complaint we have lodged an FIR of gang rape regarding the matter. The minor identified the woman and one of the male accused. Efforts are on to identify the third accused and arrest the trio” said CO Gaurav Singh. It took time for the girl to regain consciousness after which she recounted her traumatic experience to her family members and also in front of the police.
