After 22 years of marriage, Panna Lal and Anita had five daughters together. The man fervently hoped Anita would give birth to a boy, and the two frequently argued. Anita’s relatives, who knew that Panna Lal wanted a son, attempted to talk him out of the argument. However, in an attempt to grant his wish to have a son, the man vowed to separate from Anita and wed someone else.
The couple argued about the gender of their unborn child on the day of the incident. Anita, who was eight months pregnant, was threatened by Panna Lal during the fight, and when she attempted to flee, he struck her with a sickle. Panna Lal slashed Anita’s stomach open with the sickle to reveal the gender of their unborn child.
Anita described the vicious attack during the court hearing and claimed that Panna Lal had given her a serious cut that left her insides hanging out of her stomach.
Anita had fled to the streets to save her life after Panna Lal had sliced open her stomach. Anita’s brother, who worked at a neighboring shop, heard her screams and came to her aid. Panna Lal, meanwhile, fled the scene of the incident. After being taken to a hospital and given care, Anita managed to survive.
Panna Lal attempted to defend himself by claiming that Anita had caused her own wounds at the court hearing for the case. Panna Lal claimed that because Anita and her brothers were fighting over property, Anita hurt herself by fabricating a case against him.
