KPTCL To Recruit 902 For Power Infrastructure Expansion

After a meticulous selection process, 502 out of 535 candidates were appointed for the post of Junior Engineer.

Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) took a significant step by ordering recruitment to fill 902 posts, leading to the expansion of the state’s power infrastructure. 368 Assistant Engineers (Electrical), 17 Assistant Engineer (Civil) and 15 Junior Engineers (Civil) candidates were counselled and their appointment orders were issued in March 2024, before the enactment of the Model Code of Conduct.

After a meticulous selection process, 502 out of 535 candidates were appointed for the post of Junior Engineer. Another 360 candidates for the post of Junior Assistant are subject to a provisional selection list, with objection accepted till Friday. The final shortlist of the candidates will be issued by the government after reviewing the objections.

Energy Minister, KJ George stated, “We are committed to strengthening our power infrastructure by bringing in fresh talent. This recruitment drive is a significant step towards ensuring that KPTCL continues to provide reliable and efficient power transmission services across Karnataka. I congratulate all the selected candidates and look forward to their contributions to our state’s energy sector.”

Once the Final selection List is published, the authority will verify the qualifications of the candidates and the documents asked for reservation. It has been announced by the KPTCL that action will be taken to issue location and appointment orders instantly.
